This 19th century wine decanter is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Extremely thin-walled mouth-blown glass, cut by hand, silver mounting for stopper and base, skilfully enclosed air bubble in the glass stopper. Hallmarks in Dutch for 833 silver (used from 1814 - 1906) on the base and stopper, also hallmark C.B.* for jeweller C. J. Begeer (used from 1868 - 1920). The shape and cut indicate the late 19th century. Condition: Very good, no chips to the glass, silver mount with light patina undamaged. Dimensions: Height 37 cm, width 11 cm
