Joseph (Giuseppe) D'Aste (1881-1945) was a French sculptor of Italian origin. Born in Naples, he moved to Paris at the beginning of the 20th century. In the years 1905-1934 he exhibited his works at the Paris Salon. He is known for his works 'fete champetre' depicting idyllic scenes from the lives of shepherds. Very detailed bronze by Joseph D'aste (signed). Black marble base. Beautifully patinated. Condition: Very good condition, minor traces of age.
